5 Minute velvet Cake

INGREDIENTS:
• 2 1/2 cups of wheat flour
• 1 1/2 cups of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of baking soda
• 1 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil
• 1 cup buttermilk (sour milk)*
• 2 large eggs
• 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon red liquid food coloring
• 1 teaspoon of white vinegar
• Cream cheese for coverage (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease and flour three round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, red food coloring, and vinegar.
4. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ones and mix until you get a homogeneous mass.
5. Divide the batter evenly and pour into the prepared pans.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for a few minutes, then remove them from the pans and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
8. If you want, you can cover the cake with cream cheese to give it an extra delicious touch.
