Accordion potatoes in an air fryer
Components:
- Four medium-sized potatoes (Yukon Gold or russet work great)
- Two teaspoons of olive oil
- One teaspoon of salt
- Half a teaspoon of black pepper
- One teaspoon of powdered garlic
- One teaspoon of paprika
- Garnish with fresh herbs (optional).
Directions:
- Peel and wash the potatoes to get them ready.
- To make a crisscross pattern, carefully cut the potatoes lengthwise and crosswise with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut all the way through. The distance between the slices should be around 1/8 inch. The accordion effect will be produced as a result.
Season the potatoes. - Combine the olive oil, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
Make sure to get some oil into the cuts as you gently brush the potatoes with the olive oil mixture. - Warm up the air fryer.
- Set your air fryer’s temperature to 200°C (392°F).
Prepare the potatoes:
Arrange the potatoes in a single layer within the air fryer basket.
The potatoes should be golden brown and crispy after 15 to 20 minutes of cooking, shaking the basket halfway through to achieve even cooking.
To serve, take the potatoes out of the air fryer and allow them to cool a bit.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if preferred.
Perfect for any meal or as a fun snack, these accordion potatoes are a delicious and crispy take on classic roast potatoes or fries.
