Description
Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread makes for such a great and delicious breakfast. My kids loved this quick sweet, and rich cinnamon pull-apart bread.
Ingredients
- 2 Apples, Fuji, diced
- 1 can biscuit dough
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted and unsalted
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
Instructions
- Chop apples into small pieces (discard the stem, seeds, and core).
- Place apple pieces and cinnamon in a bowl. Add brown sugar and melted butter mix well until apples are evenly coated. Set aside.
- Cut biscuits into ¼ pieces. Place the ¼ pieces into a large bowl.
- Preheat the air fryer to 325 degrees F, air fryer setting.
- Pour apple mixture over biscuit pieces. Using a large spoon, gently mix it, so the biscuit pieces are completely covered in the apple mixture.
- Grease a bundt cake pan*. Transfer the apple-covered biscuits to your bundt cake pan. Spreading the mixture evenly around the edges.
- Place it right into the AirFryer. Air fry for 18-22 minutes. It should turn a nice golden brown. When you insert a toothpick, it should come out clean if the dough is fully cooked!
- Remove from heat, allow to cool for 8 minutes.
- Flip bundt cake pan upside down on a plate, allowing the monkey bread to fall out easily.
Glaze;
- Make a quick glaze by combining the milk and the confectioner’s sugar. Stir well.
- Sprinkle the monkey bread with an additional pinch of cinnamon & sugar. Pour the glaze over the top.
Equipment
- Bundt Cake Pan
Notes
- *I used a bundt cake pan, and it fit perfectly in my air fryer. If a bundt cake pan is too big for your air fryer, use another pan that fits – a loaf pan or a small cake pan..you can even use foil! If you use foil, remember to spray it with a nonstick cooking spray and arrange the monkey bread together so that it is all touching but is a little bit flatter than if you had it in a pan.
- You can use any apple you’d like – I find the Fuji or Pink Lady varieties work best for this.
- The glaze is optional, you don’t have to glaze it, but it helps keep it moist for longer.
- This monkey bread is deliciously fresh if kept covered in the fridge for 4-5 days. It’s the perfect breakfast treat to make for holidays or weekends, and it’s so easy to do! Crispy on the edges with a pillowy soft center. The apples, cinnamon, and butter combine for the perfect comforting flavors!
