🍗 Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Parmo & Chips 🍟
This dish is a crispy, cheesy delight with a BBQ twist! Inspired by the classic Teesside Parmo, this version is cooked in the air fryer, making it lighter but still full of flavor. Served with golden chips, it’s the ultimate comfort food!

For the Chicken Parmo
2 large chicken breasts (butterflied & flattened)
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
½ cup plain flour
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp salt & pepper
2 tbsp BBQ sauce
½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
For the Chips
2 large potatoes, cut into thick fries
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp salt & pepper
½ tsp paprika
🔥 Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Chips
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes (removes starch for crispier fries).
Drain & pat dry, then toss with olive oil, salt, pepper & paprika.
Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 18-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Step 2: Prep the Chicken
Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
Coat in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with seasoned breadcrumbs (garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper).
Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
Step 3: Add the BBQ & Cheese
Brush BBQ sauce on top of the cooked chicken.
Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over it.
Air fry for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
Plate up the BBQ Chicken Parmo with the crispy chips.
Optional: Serve with garlic mayo or coleslaw on the side.
