Air Fryer Broccoli Ranch Tots

These Air Fryer Broccoli Ranch Tots have everything you love about a classic tater tot—the crispy edges, the snackable format—but in a healthier version. You’ll swap starchy potatoes for fiber-rich broccoli, then bake them in an air fryer, which majorly cuts down on the grease factor. For more healthy tot ideas, try them made with cauliflower, zucchini, and sweet potato.

Looking to mix it up? Play around with different cheeses and ranch seasoning mixed into the tots gives each bite an extra savory boost spice lovers.
Double down on the flavor combination by dipping them into ranch dressing.

About Time

  • Prep Time   5 min
  • Cook Time  25 min
  • Total Time   30 min

    Ingredients

    • 1  (10-oz.) bag frozen broccoli, thawed (about 3 c.)
    • 2 large eggs, beaten to blend
    • 1 1/2 shredded cheddar
    • 1 panko bread crumbs
    • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning (from a 1-oz. package)
    • Olive oil cooking spray
    • Ketchup, for serving

      Instructions

      1. Pat broccoli dry with paper towels. Transfer to a food processor and pulse until very finely chopped. Scrape broccoli into a medium bowl and stir in eggs, cheddar, panko, and ranch seasoning.
      2. Using a tablespoon measuring spoon and lightly dampened hands, scoop out level tablespoonfuls of broccoli mixture and press into a tater tot shape. Transfer to a plate.
      3. Lightly coat an air-fryer basket with cooking spray. Working in batches, arrange tots in a single layer in basket, spacing about 1/8″ apart; spray with cooking spray. Cook at 400°, turning halfway through and spraying with cooking spray, until crisp, 9 to 11 minutes.
      4. Arrange tots on a platter. Serve warm with ketchup alongside.
