Chicken Florentine is a classic dish known for its creamy spinach sauce and tender chicken. Traditionally made in a skillet or baked, this air fryer version keeps the chicken juicy and golden on the outside while reducing the need for extra oil. Pair it with pasta, mashed potatoes, or cauliflower rice for a comforting yet elegant meal.

Ingredients (Serves 2-3)

For the Chicken:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp paprika

Salt & pepper to taste

For the Florentine Sauce:

1 tbsp butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup fresh baby spinach (chopped if leaves are large)

½ cup heavy cream

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup chicken broth

Salt & pepper to taste

Optional: pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor

Total Time:

Prep: 10 minutes

Cook: 15-18 minutes

Sauce: 6-8 minutes (on stovetop)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken:

Pat chicken breasts dry.

Brush with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Air Fry the Chicken:

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.

Place seasoned chicken in the air fryer basket.

Air fry for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Internal temp should reach 165°F (74°C).

Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Make the Florentine Sauce (While Chicken Cooks):

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (30 seconds).

Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted (1–2 minutes).

Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth.

Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
