Air Fryer Chilean Sea Bass with Lemon and Herbs
This recipe captures the delicate flavors of Chilean sea bass with a simple yet elegant lemon and herb crust, all cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer.
Ingredients:
- 2 Chilean sea bass fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley, dill, or chives), for garnish (optional)
How to Do It:
- Warm up your air fryer to 200°C (400°F). You can use paper towels to dry the sea bass pieces. Olive oil, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a small bowl.
- Spread the mixture out on both sides of the sea bass pieces. Spread the sea bass pieces out in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Make sure they don’t touch. Put lemon slices on top of the small pieces of sea bass.
- The fish should be air-fried for 10 to 12 minutes, or until it’s fully cooked and flaky.
- Add fresh herbs as a garnish if you want, and serve right away. For a thicker crust, coat the sea bass pieces in a flour and spice mix first, then add the olive oil mix.
- If your sea bass pieces are more than an inch thick, you might need to add a few minutes to the cooking time. Don’t put too many things in the air fryer basket at once, or the fish might not cook properly.
- You can use rosemary, pepper, chili powder, or any other herb or spice instead of oregano and thyme.
- You could serve roasted veggies, couscous, or quinoa with the sea bass.
