Description
These apple turnovers are buttery and flaky thanks to the puff pastry and warm and comforting thanks to the apple pie filling.
Ingredients
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored and chopped into small pieces
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed, and cut into 6 squares
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chopped apple, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Spoon around 3 Tbsp of the mix into the center of the puff pastry square. Fold it over, shaping a triangle, and firmly press the edges, so they stick together. Repeat the process with the rest of the puff pastry.
- Take to the air fryer and spray with the butter cooking spray—Cook at 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 6 minutes. Flip and cook for 5 more minutes or until golden brown.
- Plate serve, and enjoy!
