Air Fryer Cream Puffs
This homemade air fryer cream puff recipe is incredibly simple to prepare. For the ultimate dessert today, I filled them with homemade whipped cream.
Components
- Cream-coloured puffs:
- One cup unsalted butter
- one cup of water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- One cup of sifting flour
- Four big eggs, at room temperature
- For serving, use 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar.
- Make Your Own Whipped Cream:
- One cup of cool, thick whipping cream
- One spoonful of sugar powder
- One-tspn pure vanilla extract
Guidelines
- Set the air fryer’s temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add the salt, water, and butter to a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Remove from the heat after the butter has melted. Once the flour is completely mixed in, the mixture should have the consistency of mashed potatoes.
- Once again, return to the stove and cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat for an additional two to three minutes, or until the dough mixture forms a softball and a light coating forms on the bottom of the pan. (Note: This step is essential to help your puff rise while baking; omitting it will result in the dough being less moist).
- After transferring the dough to a sizable mixing bowl, give it ten minutes to cool.
- Using a mixer or by hand, beat in the eggs one at a time until the dough comes together to make a shiny, slightly stiff dough.
- Spoon dough onto a piece of parchment paper that has been placed in the bottom of your air fryer basket. Working in batches will be necessary to prevent crowding.
- In the air fryer, bake the puffs for 14–16 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed. After removing and piercing each crème puff with a skewer or knife, allow it to cool for ten minutes.
- Place the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla essence in a medium-sized bowl and set aside while the puffs bake.
- For several minutes, whisk or use an electric mixer to stir until peaks form and the cream thickens. Keep chilled until you’re ready to serve.
- After the puffs have cooled, cut each one in half, lay a dollop of whipped cream on the bottom half, and then replace the top. Serve right away and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Have fun!
