Introduction:

This air fryer breakfast casserole is a flaky, cheesy, and hearty way to start the day. It layers buttery crescent roll dough with eggs, sausage or bacon, cheese, and your favorite veggies, all cooked perfectly in the air fryer. It’s like a breakfast sandwich meets quiche — all in one crispy, golden bite.

Prep Time: 10–15 minutes

Cook Time: 18–22 minutes

Total Time: ~30–35 minutes

Ingredients (Serves 4–6):

1 tube crescent roll dough (8-count)

4 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)

1/2 cup cooked sausage or bacon (chopped)

1/4 cup bell pepper, diced (optional)

1/4 cup green onions or onions, chopped

Salt & pepper, to taste

Butter or oil spray (for greasing dish)

Tools:

6″ to 7″ round or square air fryer-safe baking dish or cake pan

Parchment paper (optional for easier removal)

Instructions:

Prep the Pan and Air Fryer:

Preheat air fryer to 325°F (160°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Lightly grease your air fryer-safe baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

 Arrange the Crescent Rolls:

Open the crescent roll dough and press into the bottom of the baking dish.

Seal any seams to form a crust that covers the base and slightly up the sides.

 Add Fillings:

Sprinkle cooked sausage or bacon evenly over the dough.

Add any veggies (bell peppers, onions, spinach, etc.).

Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

 Mix the Egg Mixture:

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

Pour the mixture evenly over the crescent roll and toppings.

 Air Fry:

Place the dish in the air fryer basket.

Cook at 325°F (160°C) for 18–22 minutes, checking at 15 minutes.

The casserole is done when the center is set and golden brown.

If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil in the last 5 minutes.

 Cool & Serve:

Let it rest for 5–10 minutes to firm up before slicing. Serve warm!

Tips & Variations:

Veggie-packed: Add spinach, mushrooms, or tomatoes.

Spicy kick: Add jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.

No meat? Go vegetarian with sautéed veggies and feta.

For smaller servings, divide into ramekins or silicone muffin cups.

Storage & Reheating:

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for 3–4 minutes, or microwave for 1 minute.
