1 ½ cup elbow macaroni
1 cup water
½ cup heavy cream
8 oz block sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
1 tsp dry mustard
½ tsp garlic salt
½ tsp black pepper
Directions
- In a deep, oven-safe dish (approximately 7 inches in diameter), combine elbow macaroni, water, heavy cream, half of the shredded cheese, dry mustard, garlic salt, and black pepper. Stir to achieve the perfect blend of flavors.
- If your air fryer recommends preheating, do so at 360 degrees F for 3 minutes.
- Place the dish in the air fryer basket and cook at 360 degrees F for 18-20 minutes.
- At the halfway mark, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the top and give it a gentle stir. Close the lid and let the magic continue.
- Once the cooking time is up, stir the mac and cheese and carefully remove the dish from the basket. Allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes; during this time, the sauce will thicken.
