Instructions

  1. Whisk the egg white. Carefully add one egg white to a bowl (reserve the yolk for something else). Whisk it, taking care not to over-whisk.
  2. Add the spices. Next, you’ll add the coconut sugar, monk fruit sweetener, salt, cinnamon, and allspice to the bowl with the egg white and whisk well to combine.
  3. Coat the Pecans. Add the pecans and coat them in the egg-spice mixture.
  4. Air fry the Pecans. Set the air fryer to 20 minutes and the temperature to 300F. Preheat the air fryer, and you will hear a beeping sound after the air fryer finishes preheating! Then, add parchment paper to the air fryer basket and spread out the coated pecans. Air Fry.
  5. Turn Midway or Not! Be sure to check on your pecans midway through the cooking time. You don’t have to turn the pecans over if you don’t want to, but you may find that helps them cook more evenly.
  6. Cool and Enjoy. Once the pecans are done, let them cool. It’s hard to resist not eating them, but they will come to the perfect texture once cooled.

Notes

Ensure to use egg white and not the entire egg. For vegans or anyone that may not have egg, you can mix a tablespoon of oil and a tablespoon of water instead of egg white to coat the pecans.

You don’t necessarily have to turn the pecans when cooking, but I think it helps it cook evenly.

Ensure to use raw pecans for this recipe.

Resist the urge to eat them all while they’re cooling.

Wait until they are cooled completely before you store them or they will get soft.
