Air Fryer Pierogies is easily one of the most requested recipes we get asked to make. These soft pillow-like treats are made with potatoes and cheese and are a delicious quick snack, side dish, or meal on their own.

Pierogi are a small little pillow European dumplings, that can be filled with either sweet or savory filling, and then cooked. When I first found these yummy dumplings in the frozen food section of my local supermarket, I was so excited to try these in the air fryer.

The pierogies I found were just potatoes and cheese, but that was more than enough flavor. They do sell them frozen, and stuffed with other ingredients, like beef, cheddar, sauerkraut, and onion, to name a few. I use Kasia’s brand, and they crisp so beautifully in the air fryer.

Although you can make this recipe from scratch, I used frozen already-made pierogies to keep this a quick snack or simple meal. Besides the pierogies, you will need an air fryer, and about one tablespoon of olive oil.

About Time

  • Prep Time 5   mins
  • Cook Time 12  mins
  • Total Time  17  minsIngredients

    • Air Fryer

    • 14 ounces pierogi frozen
    • 1 tbsp olive oil

Optional: Sour cream, caramelized onions, mushrooms, or your favorite dipping sauce.

    1. Evenly lay each piece flat in the basket of air fryer. Try to keep them from overlapping or stacking so they can cook more evenly while they are air frying.
    2. Use cooking oil spray, brush olive oil, or toss to coat, covering both sides of each piece.
    3. Once they are lightly coated with olive oil, cook at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes until they have a golden, crispy texture. Turn them over halfway through cooking.
    4. Serve warm with sour cream, onions, mushrooms, or any of your favorite toppings.
