Air Fryer Pizza Egg Rolls
Introduction
Air Fryer Pizza Egg Rolls are a crispy, cheesy, and delicious twist on classic pizza, wrapped in a crunchy egg roll shell. They’re easy to make, kid-friendly, and perfect for a snack, appetizer, or quick meal. Instead of deep-frying, these egg rolls are air-fried to golden perfection, making them a lighter option while keeping the crunch! You can customize them with your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, or veggies. Serve them with warm marinara or ranch dipping sauce for the ultimate pizza experience!
Preheat Air Fryer: 375°F (190°C) for 2 minutes
Cook Time: 8–10 minutes
Flip: Halfway through (at the 4–5 minute mark)
Check for Doneness: Egg rolls should be golden brown and crispy
Parts and pieces:
(12 wrappers for egg rolls)
1 serving of marinara sauce
Shredded mozzarella cheese equaling one cup
little pepperoni slices equaling half a cup
1/4 cup of green bell pepper that has been finely chopped
finely chopped black olives, one-fourth of a cup
1 milligram of this Italian seasoning
Spray with olive oil
How to proceed:
Place a wrapper for egg rolls on a surface that has been made clean. A tablespoon of marinara sauce should be placed in the middle of the wrapper container.
One tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese, a few little pepperoni pieces, one teaspoon of chopped green bell pepper,
and one teaspoon of chopped black olives should be sprinkled on top of the pizza.
To finish, sprinkle just a little bit of Italian spice.
The bottom corner of the egg roll wrapper should be folded over the filling, and then the sides should be folded in and the egg roll made into a tight roll.
Use a small amount of water to seal the edge. Wrappers and filling should be repeated with the remaining wrappers.
Preheat the air fryer for five minutes at a temperature of 390 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
After lightly spraying the egg rolls with olive oil spray, arrange them in a single layer into the basket of the air fryer.
Turn the food over halfway through the cooking process and continue cooking until it is golden brown and crispy.
For dipping, serve with additional marinara sauce on the side.
Tips & Tricks
Choose the Right Fillings
Use low-moisture mozzarella cheese to prevent sogginess.
Opt for pepperoni, cooked sausage, or veggies (like bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives).
Don’t overload them—too much sauce can make the wrappers soggy.
Assemble for the Best Crunch
Place 2 tablespoons of filling per egg roll to avoid overstuffing.
Brush the edges with a beaten egg or water to seal them tightly.
Roll them tightly but not too tight, or they may burst while cooking.
Air Frying for the Best Crispiness
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2 minutes.
Spray or lightly brush the egg rolls with oil for extra crispiness.
Cook in a single layer to allow even air circulation.
Flip halfway through (about 5 minutes in) for even browning.
Preventing Sogginess
Let cooked pizza egg rolls cool on a wire rack instead of a plate.
If using vegetables, sauté them first to remove excess moisture.
Don’t add too much sauce inside—serve it on the side for dipping instead!
