Air Fryer Pork Chops
4 boneless pork chops
1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
Cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
While the air fryer is preheating, prepare your pork chops. If you’d like, you can rub them with a little olive oil to help with browning, but this is optional.
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried thyme (if using).
Season both sides of each pork chop with the spice mixture. Make sure to press the seasoning onto the meat to ensure it sticks.
Once the air fryer is preheated, lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small and cannot accommodate all the chops at once.
Cook the pork chops in the preheated air fryer for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Cooking time can vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops, so it’s essential to check the internal temperature.
Pork chops are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare or 160°F (71°C) for medium. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature at the thickest part of the chops.
Once the pork chops are cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the air fryer pork chops with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
