Air Fryer Pumpkin Biscuits

Description

Air Fryer Pumpkin Biscuits — One of the best things about the changing seasons is all of the distinct flavors that come with it. Sweet pumpkin is one flavor that we can’t get enough of during this time, and now you don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving dinner to enjoy it.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup buttercold, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add the butter to the flour mixture until it resembles coarse wet sand. There should be some small bites of butter mixed into the mixture.
  • Add the pumpkin puree and the heavy cream, and with the help of a wooden spoon or spatula stir until incorporated. The mixture should look moist but barely holding together; you don’t want to overwork it.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface, and cut out the biscuits with the help of a 2 ½ inch cookie cutter.
  • Working in batches, place them into the air fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

    Equipment

    • Cooking Spray
    • Parchment Paper, optional

    Notes

You can freeze them before air frying them. Just tightly wrap it in plastic wrap and freeze. Once ready to serve, take it straight from the freezer to the air fryer. Cook at 250 degrees for 10 minutes and then finish at 350 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes.
