Air fryer Raisin Scones

Air fryer Raisin Scones

Ingredients

  1. 250g plain flour.
  2. 50g sugar.
  3. 1 tbsp baking powder.
  4. 1 pinch salt.
  5. 50g cold butter, cubed.
  6. 100ml milk.
  7. 1 egg.
  8. 100g raisins.
  9. 1 tsp vanilla (optional).

Details to follow:

To begin, make the dough:

  • The flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt should be combined in a bowl and mixed together.
  • After adding the cold butter, mix it with your hands or a fork until it may be described as having a sandy consistency. Bring the raisins to a fold.
  • You should beat the egg with the milk and vanilla extract (if you are using it) in a separate bowl. The dry ingredients should be gradually added to this mixture, and the combination should be mixed until it forms a smooth dough that is not sticky.

Form the scones as follows:

  • After dividing the dough into four equal halves, shape each component into a rustic shape that is slightly roundened. They do not have to be entirely flawless.
  • After placing a sheet of baking paper in the basket of the air fryer, arrange the scones in such a way that there is sufficient space between each one.

3. Cooking with an air fryer:

  • Heat the air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius for five minutes. To ensure that the scones are golden brown and cooked through on the inside, bake them at 180 degrees Celsius for 12 to 15 minutes.

(4) To serve:

  • After removing the scones from the air fryer, allow them to cool down for a short while.
  • butter, jam, or whipped cream can be served alongside. Ideally suited to be consumed with either coffee or tea!
