Air Fryer Sausage Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients:

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
1/2 pound ground sausage
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Additional shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Instructions:

Cook the Sausage:In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and transfer the sausage to a mixing bowl.
Prepare the Filling:Add the shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the cooked sausage. Mix until well combined.
Prepare the Biscuits:Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a 4-5 inch round.
Fill the Biscuits:Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture in the center of each flattened biscuit. Fold the edges up and over the filling, pinching to seal the dough around the filling completely.
Preheat the Air Fryer:Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
Air Fry the Biscuits:Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Place the filled biscuits in a single layer in the air fryer basket, seam side down. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Add Topping:After the initial cooking time, open the air fryer and sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese on top of each biscuit.
Continue to air fry for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Cool and Serve:Remove the biscuits from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm
