 Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional for richer flavor)

For the Pasta Layer:

8 oz (225g) angel hair pasta

4 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons milk

Salt and pepper, to taste

Topping:

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

 Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Beef Mixture:

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions until soft, about 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.

Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste (if using), Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5–7 minutes. Set aside.

Mix the Creamy Pasta:

In a large bowl, combine the drained pasta, cream cheese, sour cream, milk, and Parmesan. Stir until pasta is well-coated and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Casserole:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the creamy pasta mixture evenly on the bottom.

Top with the beef mixture and spread evenly over the pasta layer.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake:

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. If desired, broil the top for 1–2 minutes for extra golden cheesy goodness.

Garnish and Serve:

Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
