Apple Cinnamon Cake

Apple Cinnamon Cake

Ingredients

    • 3 eggs
    • A pinch of salt

    • 135 g sugar (2/3 cup)
    • 1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 135 g milk (1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons)

    • 70 ml oil (1/3 cup)
    • 15 g baking powder (1 tablespoon)
    • 300 g flour (2 1/2 cups)

    • 2–3 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
    • Cinnamon powder, to taste
    • Additional sugar, for sprinkling (optional)

Directions

    1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease a cake mold with butter or oil.
    2. Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt using a mixer until frothy. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract, milk, and oil to the egg mixture. Mix well.

    1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine baking powder with flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
    2. Assemble the Cake: Pour a layer of the batter into the greased cake mold. Add a layer of chopped apples on top of the batter. Sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon powder over the apples. Pour another layer of batter over the apples. Add another layer of chopped apples on top.
    3. Bake the Cake: Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  1. Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the mold for a few minutes. Transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing. Optional: Sprinkle the top of the cake with additional sugar for added sweetness and crunch.
