apple pie biscuits
ingredients :
- Two cups of all-purpose flour
- One spoonful of baking powder
- Half a teaspoon of baking soda
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup cold, diced unsalted butter
- Half a cup of buttermilk
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped apple pie
- filling Two tablespoons of brown sugar
- Half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (for garnish)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (to garnish)
Directions:
- Set the oven’s temperature to 425°F (220°C). Put parchment paper on a baking pan. Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl.
- Incorporate the chilled, cubed butter. Blend with your fingers or a pastry cutter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
- Add the buttermilk and stir just until incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
- Add the ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and diced apple pie filling and blend gently. Place the dough on a surface dusted with flour.
- Pat it gently into a rectangle that is 1 inch thick. Cut out biscuits with a round cutter. Put them on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and the granulated sugar.
- Top the biscuits with a dusting. Bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
- Before serving, allow it cool somewhat.
