Components:

Regarding the Layer of Bailey’s Cheesecake:

  1. 225g (8 oz) softened cream cheese
  2. 60g, or half a cup Sugar powder
  3. 60ml, or 1/4 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
  4. 360 milliliters (1 1/2 cups) of heavy whipping cream

Regarding the Layer of Chocolate Cake:

  • One small piece of crumbled chocolate cake, either homemade or purchased from a store

Regarding the Drizzle of Chocolate Ganache:

  • 90g, or half a cup, of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 60ml, or 1/4 cup, of heavy cream
  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles as a garnish for assembly
  • Bailey’s or whipped cream are optional for drizzling.

Directions:

1. Make the Bailey’s Cheesecake Layer: Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together in a big bowl until they are creamy and light.
Stir in Bailey’s Irish Cream until well blended.
Beat the heavy cream until firm peaks form in a separate bowl.
The whipped cream should be gently folded into the cream cheese mixture. While you get the other ingredients ready, chill in the refrigerator.
2. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it barely starts to simmer.
Place the chocolate chips in a bowl, cover with the hot cream, and let for two minutes.
Mix until the mixture is shiny and smooth. Let it cool a little.
3. Assemble the Trifle: Place a layer of chocolate cake crumbles in a trifle bowl or individual dessert cups.
Spread the Bailey’s cheesecake filling on top.
Pour chocolate ganache over the cheesecake layer.
Continue layering until you have a layer of cheesecake on top.
4. Garnish: Pour more chocolate ganache over the top.
For a decorative touch, add chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
Optional: Top with a dash of Bailey’s or a dollop of whipped cream.

Success Advice:
To enable the flavors to combine and the layers to solidify, chill the trifle for a minimum of two hours.
Think about scattering chopped nuts or smashed Oreos in between the layers for some texture.
Depending on your taste, you can add more Bailey’s for a stronger alcoholic flavor or less for a more delicate undertone.

Suggestion for Serving:

Serve cold, then watch as your guests tuck into this chocolatey, boozy, creamy treat. Everyone will want more after tasting Bailey’s Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle. Ideal as a self-indulgent dessert or for any event!
