Baked Brie in Puff Pastry with Cranberry Sauce recipe
Ingredients:
– 1 (8 oz) wheel of Brie
– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
– 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
– 1 egg, beaten
– 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
– Crackers or baguette slices (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven:
– Set oven to 400°F (200°C).
– Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the pastry:
– On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry.
– Place the Brie in the center.
– Spoon cranberry sauce on top of the Brie.
– Fold the pastry edges over the cheese, sealing any gaps.
– In a small bowl, mix beaten egg with water.
– Brush this egg wash over the pastry.
4. Bake:
– Carefully transfer the wrapped Brie to the prepared baking sheet.
– Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.
