Best Steak Recipe
This steak recipe involves bringing the steaks to room temperature, searing them in a hot, oiled cast iron skillet, and finishing thick steaks in the oven for perfect doneness. Season well for maximum flavor!

Ingredients:
* 2 lbs New York Strip Steaks (2 steaks) or Ribeye or Top Sirloin Steaks (1 lb each steak, 1 1/4” thick)🥩
* 3 1/2 tbsp extra light olive oil
* 1 1/2 tsp sea salt🧂
* 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
* 2 cloves garlic, peeled and quartered🧄
* 1 sprig of fresh rosemary

Instructions:
1. Take the steaks out of the fridge and let them reach room temperature: about 30 minutes for thin steaks and up to an hour for thick ones.
2. Preheat a heavy pan, ideally a cast iron skillet or stovetop grill, over medium-high heat.
3. Once heated, oil the pan generously.
4. Season the steaks generously on both sides with your choice of seasoning, such as McCormick, Weber, or Steakhouse, which are commonly available at grocery stores.
5. Place the steaks in the hot pan and do not move or flip them for 3-4 minutes to allow a good sear to form.
6. After searing one side, flip the steaks and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
7. For thicker steaks, transfer them to a preheated oven at 375°F to finish cooking for 5-10 minutes for medium to medium-well doneness.

Enjoy your Steak!
