Blueberry Crumb Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
For the crust:
- – 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- – 1 cup cold butter, cubed
- – 1/4 cup ice water
- – 1 teaspoon salt
- – 1 tablespoon sugar
For the filling: - – 6 cups fresh blueberries
- – 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- – 1/4 cup cornstarch
- – 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- – 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the crumb topping: - – 1 cup all-purpose flour
- – 2/3 cup brown sugar
- – 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- – 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- – 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Prepare the crust:
Combine salt, sugar, and flour.
Add cold butter till crumbly; gradually pour in ice water; form into a disk and refrigerate for one hour; roll out and place in a pie dish.
2. Get the filling ready:
Combine blueberries, cornstarch, and sugar. Then, add vanilla and lemon juice.
Fill the prepared crust.
3. Prepare the crumb topping:
Mix the cinnamon, brown sugar, and flour.
Add butter and stir until crumbly. Evenly distribute over filling.
4. Bake: Set the oven temperature to 375°F. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until bubbling.
Allow to cool fully before slicing.
