Boiled Lemon Peel Tea Recipe

 Ingredients:

Peels from 2–3 organic lemons

3–4 cups of water

(Optional) 1–2 tsp raw honey

(Optional) 1 small cinnamon stick or a few slices of ginger

 Instructions:

Wash the lemons thoroughly.

Use organic lemons if possible to avoid pesticides.

You can use lemon peels left over from juicing or eating the fruit.

Peel the lemons.

Use a vegetable peeler or knife to remove just the yellow outer skin (avoid the bitter white pith if possible).

Boil the peels.

Add the lemon peels to a pot with 3–4 cups of water.

(Optional) Add cinnamon or ginger for added flavor and health benefits.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10–15 minutes.

Strain and serve.

Remove from heat and strain the liquid.

Add honey if desired.

Drink warm, like tea.
