Rolls that are delicate and golden in color, loaded with flavorful sausage, fluffy eggs, and melting cheese, are ideal for a breakfast or brunch delight that can be taken on the move.

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

1/2 lb (225 g) breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled 4 large eggs, scrambled

1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese

For the Dough:

  • 1 lb (450 g) store-bought pizza or crescent roll dough

Optional Topping:

1 tbsp (15 ml) melted butter

1 tsp (5 g) sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning

How to proceed:

Prepare the sausage by cooking it.

The sausage should be cooked in a skillet over medium heat until it is browned and crumbly enough to consume. After draining the extra grease, set it aside.

Make a mess of the eggs.

Scramble the eggs in a separate skillet until they are almost completely set. Add salt and pepper to taste, and season with salt.

Prepare the oven by preheating it.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Place parchment paper on a baking pan and set it aside.

Gather the Rolls together.

The pizza dough or crescent dough should be rolled out and then cut into eight equal pieces. Each piece of dough should have a dollop of scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage, and shredded cheese evenly distributed across it. While pinching the corners of the dough to seal it, fold the dough around the filling. Place the rolls on the baking sheet that has been prepared with the seam side down.

Baking

Butter that has been melted should be used to brush the tops of the rolls, and if preferred, you can sprinkle them with sesame seeds or everything bagel spice. Bake the rolls for twelve to fifteen minutes, or until they have a golden brown color.

Deliver

In order to serve the rolls, allow them to slightly cool down. Warm up and enjoy.

Advice:

Replace the sausage with bacon or other substitutes that are derived from plants.

For an additional layer of flavor, include sautéed onions, peppers, or spinach.
