 CARNIVORE Beef Roast Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
  2. 1 onion, sliced
  3. 4 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 cup beef broth
  5. 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite variety)
  6. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  8. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  9. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  10. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Roast:
    • Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
  2. Sear the Roast (optional):
    • In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the roast on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side). This step adds flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.
  3. Add Ingredients to the Crock Pot:
    • Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the Crock Pot. Lay the seared roast on top.
    • In a separate bowl, mix the beef broth, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Pour this mixture over the roast.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  5. Shred and Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the roast from the Crock Pot and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded beef to the pot and stir it in the sauce.
    • Serve the BBQ beef on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides.

Tips:

  • For added flavor, consider adding sliced bell peppers or mushrooms to the Crock Pot.
