Cheesecake Bar with Cinnamon Sugar
Components:
Regarding the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups of crushed graham cracker crumbs (about ten graham crackers)
- 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated
- Half a cup of melted unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, for added spiciness
For filling the cheesecake:
- 16 ounces (two packages) softened cream cheese
- One cup of sugar granules
- Two huge eggs
- One teaspoon of vanilla cream
- 1/4 cup sour cream (for added creaminess, if desired)
For the Sugar Topping with Cinnamon:
- 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated
- Ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon
- One tablespoon of melted unsalted butter
Directions:
1. Get the crust ready:
- Set the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C). Line a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it.
- Put the sugar, melted butter, crushed cinnamon, and graham cracker crumbs in a medium basin. Stir until the butter is equally distributed over the crumbs.
- To create an even crust, firmly press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish that has been prepared.
- After ten minutes of baking, take the crust out of the oven and let it cool a little while you make the cheesecake filling.
2. Prepare the filling for the cheesecake:
- Using an electric mixer, whip the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until it becomes creamy and smooth.
- Beat in the sugar until well mixed.
- One by one, add the eggs, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir.
- Add the sour cream, if using, to add even more smoothness and creaminess.
- Evenly cover the chilled graham cracker shell with the cheesecake filling.
3. Put the cheesecake bars in the oven:
- The cheesecake should be baked for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is firm but still has some give. The margins ought to have a hint of gold.
- With the oven door slightly open, continue baking the cheesecake for another hour after turning off the oven. This keeps the cheesecake from breaking when it cools.
- Take the cheesecake out of the oven and allow it to come to room temperature after an hour. Then, once completely chilled and set, place in the refrigerator for at least three hours or overnight.
4. Prepare the Sugar Topping with Cinnamon:
- Put the ground cinnamon and granulated sugar in a small bowl.
- Once the cheesecake has cooled, drizzle the melted butter over the top and evenly distribute the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
5. Offer:
- After cutting the cheesecake into bars, serve it cold. The cinnamon sugar topping gives the creamy filling a delightful sweetness and a hint of spice.
These Cinnamon Sugar Cheesecake Bars are a tasty and distinctive treat because they have the ideal ratio of creamy cheesecake to a little spicy cinnamon-sugar topping. Any occasion will be a hit with them! Have fun!
