Cheesy Butter Flatbreads
Ingredients
- 200 ml warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 300 g flour (divided into two portions of 150 g each)
- 100 g Gouda cheese (or your choice of cheese), grated
- 100 g butter, melted
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix warm water and salt. Add the first 150 g of flour and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the remaining 150 g of flour and knead until a soft dough forms. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a thin round, about 1/4-inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Brush one side of the flatbread with melted butter and place it butter-side down on the skillet.
- Sprinkle a portion of grated cheese on top and brush the top side with butter.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is cooked through.
- Repeat with the remaining dough portions.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
