Cherry Garcia Fudge Recipe
This indulgent fudge combines the flavors of chocolate, cherries, and almond, inspired by the classic ice cream.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp almond extract (optional)
- 1 cup dried cherries, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds or walnuts (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pan
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper.
- Melt the Chocolate
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
- Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Flavorings
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and a pinch of salt.
- Fold in Cherries and Nuts
- Gently mix in the chopped dried cherries and nuts, ensuring even distribution.
- Set the Fudge
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Press down gently to smooth the top.
- Chill
- Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until firm.
- Cut and Serve
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang.
- Slice into squares or bars and serve.
Storage:
Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Let it come to room temperature before serving for softer texture.
