Cherry Garcia Fudge

Cherry Garcia Fudge Recipe

This indulgent fudge combines the flavors of chocolate, cherries, and almond, inspired by the classic ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 1 cup dried cherries, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds or walnuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan
    • Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper.
  2. Melt the Chocolate
    • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
    • Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add Flavorings
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and a pinch of salt.
  4. Fold in Cherries and Nuts
    • Gently mix in the chopped dried cherries and nuts, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Set the Fudge
    • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
    • Press down gently to smooth the top.
  6. Chill
    • Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until firm.
  7. Cut and Serve
    • Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang.
    • Slice into squares or bars and serve.

Storage:

Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Let it come to room temperature before serving for softer texture.

Enjoy this sweet, cherry-filled treat!
