Chicken Bites with Garlic Butter
Components:
- One pound of skinless, boneless chicken thighs or breasts, chopped into small pieces
- Three tablespoons of butter without salt
- Five minced garlic cloves (or more if you’re a garlic lover)
- One teaspoon of optional dry Italian seasoning
- One teaspoon of optional paprika (for flavor and color)
- To taste, add salt and pepper.
- Two tablespoons of freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)
- One tablespoon of optional lemon juice (for brightness)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional; adds richness): 1/2 cup
Directions:
1. Get the chicken ready by chopping it into bits or cubes that are manageable. Add paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using) to the chicken.
2. Prepare the chicken by adding 1 tablespoon of butter to a large skillet that has been heated to medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet in a single layer after it has melted.
The chicken should be cooked through and browned after 6 to 8 minutes of cooking, stirring occasionally (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). When finished, move the chicken to a platter and reserve.
3. Prepare the garlic butter sauce by adding the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the same skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic when the butter has melted.
Take care not to burn the garlic while you sauté it for approximately a minute, or until fragrant.
4. Add chicken and garlic butter: Put the cooked chicken back in the skillet and mix it with the sauce made from garlic butter. To let the chicken absorb the flavor of the garlic butter, stir everything together for a further two to three minutes.
5. Add final touches: For additional brightness, pour in some lemon juice if you’d like. For added taste and richness, you can also top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Before serving, sprinkle some freshly chopped parsley on top.
6. Serve: You may eat the Garlic Butter Chicken Bites as a delicious appetizer or snack, or you can serve them over rice, pasta, or a bed of greens.
