2 tbsp marinara sauce
Bread & Baked Goods
2 slices of your favorite bread
Dairy
1 tbsp butter
2 slices mozzarella cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
If using a breaded chicken patty, cook it according to package instructions or use a leftover chicken parmesan that’s already cooked and heated.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread 1 tablespoon of marinara sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on one of the slices of bread.
Add the cooked chicken patty or leftover chicken parmesan on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor, then top with the second slice of mozzarella cheese.
Place the other slice of bread on top, with the marinara sauce side facing in.
Grill the Sandwich:
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
Once the butter is melted and sizzling, place the sandwich in the pan. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted
4. Serve:
Remove the sandwich from the pan and slice it in half. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Tips for the Best Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese:
Use Thin Chicken Cutlets – They cook faster and fit better in the sandwich. Pound them if needed.
Crisp Up the Chicken Well – Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch, and cook until golden brown.
Choose the Right Bread – Thick slices like sourdough or Italian bread hold up best.
Butter & Toast Evenly – Butter the bread evenly for a golden, crispy crust.
Melt the Cheese Properly – Cover the pan while grilling to help the cheese melt without burning the bread.
Don’t Overload the Sandwich – Too much sauce can make the bread soggy. Use just enough to add flavor.
