Chocolate coconut bars cooked at home.
Ingredients
Regarding the Layer of Coconut:
- Two cups of unsweetened coconut shreds
- One cup of condensed milk with added sugar
- One teaspoon of vanilla cream
Regarding the Layer of Chocolate:
- One cup of chocolate chips, semi-sweet
- Two tablespoons of butter or coconut oil
Directions
Get the Coconut Layer Ready:
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla essence, and shredded coconut in a medium-sized bowl and stir until thoroughly blended.
- Line an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish. Pack it down and spread it evenly.
Cool the Layer of Coconut:
- To give the coconut layer time to solidify, put the baking dish in the fridge for around half an hour.
Create the Layer of Chocolate:
- Put the coconut oil and chocolate chips in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave. Stirring occasionally, microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted and smooth.
Blend Layers:
- Evenly cover the cold coconut layer with the melted chocolate. To get rid of any air bubbles, lightly tap the dish on the counter.
Remain Calm:
- Put the dish back in the fridge to set the chocolate, which should take at least an hour.
Slice and Present:
- Using the parchment paper, remove the bars from the dish after they have firm. Slice into bars or squares. Have fun!
