Eight ounces of Cool Whip (or whipped cream)

Regarding the topping:

One can (21 oz) of handmade or canned cherry pie filling

Directions:

Prepare the crust:

In a bowl, mix together sugar, melted butter, and graham cracker crumbs.

To create an even layer, press the mixture into the bottom of a 9 × 9-inch dish. While the filling is being prepared, chill in the refrigerator.

Get the filling ready:

Add the powdered sugar and softened cream cheese and beat until smooth.

To make the mixture creamy, fold in the Cool Whip (or whipped cream) after stirring in the vanilla essence.

Evenly cover the cold crust with the filling.

Put the topping on:

Evenly distribute the cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer using a spoon.
