Components
- One pound of ground beef
- Two cups of Conchita’s, or little pasta shells
- One little onion, diced finely
- two minced garlic cloves
- One 15-oz can of tomato sauce
- two cups of broth made from beef.
- One teaspoon of cumin powder
- One tsp of chili powder
- Half a teaspoon of paprika
- Half a teaspoon of oregano
- To taste, add salt and pepper.
- One tablespoon of olive oil
- Finely chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)
- Grated cheese (for serving only, if desired)
Guidelines
Prepare the Ground Beef:
- Heat the olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Using a spoon, break up the ground beef while it cooks until it turns brown. If necessary, drain any surplus fat.
Sauté the garlic and onion:
- Cook the chopped onion in the skillet for three to four minutes, or until it becomes tender. Once fragrant, heat for an additional one to two minutes after adding the minced garlic.
Include seasonings:
- Add the oregano, paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper and stir. Allow the spices to bloom and unleash their flavors by cooking them for one to two minutes.

- Take the pasta from the heat as soon as it’s cooked and the sauce has thickened. Add some chopped cilantro as a garnish and serve hot. If preferred, you can add top with some shredded cheese.
