Cottage Cheese Eggs Baked

Cottage Cheese Eggs Baked

Components:

  1. Four big eggs
  2. One cup of cottage cheese (for creaminess, full-fat is preferred)
  3. 1/4 cup of shredded cheese (Parmesan, mozzarella, or cheddar are optional)
  4. To taste, add salt and pepper.
  5. Half a teaspoon of optional garlic powder
  6. Half a teaspoon of dried herbs, like thyme, oregano, or basil
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs (parsley or chives, if desired).
  8. To grease the baking dish, use butter or oil.

Directions:

Set the Oven’s Temperature to 375°F (190°C).

Get the baking dish ready:
Use butter or oil to grease a small baking dish (about 8 by 8 inches or individual ramekins).

Combine the ingredients:
Place the eggs in a mixing basin and whisk. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cottage cheese, and any desired dry herbs. Mix the ingredients together thoroughly. Fold the shredded cheese into the mixture if using.

Transfer to a baking dish:
Fill the baking dish with the egg and cottage cheese mixture.
Bake: Put the dish in the oven that has been warmed for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the tops of the eggs are set and beginning to turn brown. To check for doneness, stick a knife or toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
After baking, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool somewhat before garnishing and serving. If desired, garnish with fresh herbs. Warm up and serve.

Advice:

  • Before baking, mix the egg mixture with sautéed veggies (such as bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms) for added flavor.
  • This is a fantastic option for meal prep or a make-ahead breakfast because it can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two or three days.
  • Savor your baked cottage cheese eggs, which are high in protein and tasty!
