Ingredients
For the Shells:
20 jumbo pasta shells
2 cups cooked shredded chicken (grilled or rotisserie)
1 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for filling)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
For the Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream (or half and half)
1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt to taste
Topping:
1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
A pinch of paprika or Cajun seasoning (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook Pasta Shells
Boil the jumbo shells in salted water until al dente (about 8–9 minutes).
Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
Make the Filling
In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and green onions.
Stir until creamy and well combined.
Make the Cajun Cream Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Pour in the cream, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in mozzarella until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Shells
Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.
Lightly grease an air fryer-safe baking dish or tray that fits your air fryer basket.
Spoon a little cream sauce into the bottom of the dish.
Stuff each shell with 1–2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture and place them into the dish.
Spoon remaining cream sauce over the shells.
Sprinkle extra mozzarella and a pinch of Cajun seasoning on top.
Air Fryer Cooking Time & Temperature
Temperature: 320°F (160°C)
Time: 12–15 minutes
Check: At the 10-minute mark, make sure the cheese is melting and bubbly. Continue cooking until golden edges and fully heated through.
Note: If your air fryer is smaller, you may need to cook in batches.
