Creamy Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque (Air Fryer Version)

Indulge in a rich and creamy seafood bisque loaded with tender shrimp and lump crab meat. Traditionally, bisque is slow-cooked on the stovetop, but this air fryer version makes it quick and easy while still delivering luxurious flavor and velvety texture.  Ingredients:

½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

½ lb lump crab meat

2 tbsp butter

½ cup diced onion

½ cup diced celery

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups seafood broth (or chicken broth)

½ cup heavy cream

½ cup whole milk

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

½ tsp paprika

Salt & pepper, to taste

1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for thickening)

1 tbsp olive oil

Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

 Instructions

 Sauté Aromatics (5 min)

Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Place an oven-safe pan or ramekin inside the air fryer. Add butter, olive oil, diced onion, celery, and garlic.

Air fry for 3-4 minutes, stirring halfway, until softened and fragrant.

 Cook the Seafood (5-6 min)

Add the chopped shrimp into the pan and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 4-5 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

Stir in the lump crab meat and cook for 1-2 minutes until warmed through.

 Prepare the Bisque Base (6 min)

Sprinkle 1 tbsp of flour into the pan and stir to coat the ingredients. Let it cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.

Slowly add in the seafood broth, tomato paste, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring well to combine.

Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until the broth slightly thickens.

Add the Cream & Finish (4 min)

Reduce the air fryer temperature to 325°F (163°C).

Stir in heavy cream and milk, mix well, and air fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until creamy and smooth.

 Serve & Garnish

Remove from the air fryer, stir well, and taste for seasoning adjustments.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
