About Time
- Prep Time 5 mins
- Cook Time 7 mins
- Total Time 12 mins
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder.
- Pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- 2 Tablespoon cream (half & half, buttermilk or milk)
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs.
- Spray oil.
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a first shallow bowl mix flour, onion powder, garlic powder salt and pepper together.
- In a second shallow bowl whisk together egg and cream.
- Place panko bread crumbs in a third shallow bowl.
- Dredge an avocado slice through the flour, shaking off excess. Dip into egg and allow excess to drop off. Finally, press slice into panko so both sides are covered. Set on a plate and repeat with the remaining slices.
- Spray avocado slices generously with cooking spray and arrange in the basket or a tray of the air fryer. I use Ghee butter oil spray.
- Cook in the preheated air fryer for 4 minutes.
- Turn avocado slices over on the other side, spray with oil and cook until golden and the breading is crispy. About 3-4 more minutes, or until the breading crisps up.
