Ingredients:
1 can cooked chickpeas (400g), or 200g dried chickpeas (soaked and cooked first)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sweet or hot paprika (to taste)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cumin powder (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the chickpeas:
If using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse them well. If using dried chickpeas, make sure they are well cooked and drained.
Blot them dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel to make them crispier.
Seasoning:
In a bowl, mix the chickpeas with the olive oil, salt and spices (paprika, garlic powder and cumin if desired).
Stir well so that all the chickpeas are coated with the seasoning.
Cooking in the air fryer:
Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer, for even cooking.
Cook at 180°C for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes so that they brown on all sides.
Monitor the last few minutes to prevent them from burning, as the time can vary depending on the model of the air fryer.
Serving and enjoying:
Let the chickpeas cool a little before eating them, they will be even crispier!
Perfect as a snack or to add crunch to salads and other dishes.
