Crispy Airfryer Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  1. 4 pieces of chicken (thighs or legs with fur)
  2. 2 tablespoons olive oil or spray
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  5. 1 teaspoon paprika (sweet or smoked paprika)
  6. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
  9. 2 tablespoons wheat flour or cornstarch for extra crispiness

Directions:

1. Get the chicken ready:
To get rid of extra moisture, wash and pat dry the chicken pieces using paper towels.

2. Season: Combine cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
For added crispiness, you can optionally add the two tablespoons of flour or cornstarch. Coat each chicken piece completely with the spice mixture after lightly brushing it with olive oil.
3. Get the air fryer hot:
For five minutes, set the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
4. Cook: Make sure the chicken pieces are not in contact with one another by placing them in the Airfryer basket skin side down. Cook at 180°C for 15 minutes.
After flipping the chicken pieces, raise the temperature to 200°C (400°F) and continue cooking for another 10 to 12 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden.
5. Check: Verify that the chicken is thoroughly cooked. The ideal interior temperature is 75°C, or 165°F.
You can add two more minutes if you want it crispier.
Serve: Accompany the crispy chicken with steaming veggies, mashed potatoes, or a crisp salad. All set! Savor air-fried chicken that is golden, juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside.
