Ingredients:
1 head of cauliflower
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup grated Feta cheese
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Directions:
Set the oven’s temperature to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the cauliflower by rinsing it and removing the stem and leaves. Slice it into small pieces.
Prepare the mixture for breading: Combine the flour, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
Dip in egg wash: Thoroughly coat each cauliflower floret by dipping it into the beaten egg.
Breading the cauliflower: Gently press the egg-coated cauliflower floret into the breading mixture. The breaded cauliflower should be put on a tray or plate. Continue with the leftover cauliflower.
Drizzle with olive oil: Drizzle some olive oil over the breaded cauliflower.
Bake: The cauliflower should be crispy and golden brown after 20 to 25 minutes in the oven.
Add Feta on top: After taking the cauliflower out of the oven, top it with Feta cheese. Put it back in the oven and bake it for two to three more minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melted.
Serve: If desired, top the hot Mediterranean Crispy Cauliflower Parmesan Crisps with freshly chopped parsley.
Advice and Modifications:
Before baking, you may refrigerate the breaded cauliflower for half an hour to achieve a crispy coating.
You may serve the cauliflower with a green salad or marinara sauce on the side to give the dish additional substance.
You are welcome to add your preferred herbs and spices to the breading mixture.
