Instructions

Prep the Potato Mixture (10 min)

Grate potatoes and onion using the coarse side of a box grater.

Repeat with remaining mixture.

Tips & Tricks

Extra crispy: Let the mixture sit for 2–3 minutes after grating so more moisture can be drained.

No sticking: Use parchment paper with holes or lightly grease the basket.

Flour adjustment: Start with 2 tbsp flour. Add a third if the mix feels too wet.

Texture tip: Use a food processor for quicker grating if making large batches.

Serving Suggestions

Traditional: Serve with sour cream or applesauce.

Savory: Top with smoked salmon, sautéed mushrooms, or herbed yogurt.

Add a sprinkle of fresh parsley, dill, or chives for a Polish finish.
