Crumble-Topped Cheesecake
Components for the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups of crumbs from graham crackers
- 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated
- Half a cup of melted unsalted butter for the cheesecake filling:
- Three packages of softened cream cheese (8 oz each)
- One cup of sugar granules
- One cup of sour cream
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Four big eggs
Regarding the Crumble Topper:
- One cup of all-purpose flour
- Half a cup of sugar, granulated
- Half a cup of chilled, diced unsalted butter
- Half a teaspoon of optional ground cinnamon
Directions:
Get the crust ready:
- Set the oven’s temperature to 175°C (350°F).
- In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine the melted butter, sugar, and graham cracker crumbs.
- Fill a 9-inch springform pan with the mixture by pressing it into the bottom.
- After ten minutes of baking, take the crust out of the oven and allow it to cool.
Get the cheesecake filling ready. - Cream cheese and sugar should be combined in a big basin and beaten until smooth and creamy.
- Mix thoroughly after adding the vanilla essence and sour cream.
- Beat thoroughly after adding each egg one at a time.
- Cover the chilled crust in the springform pan with the cheesecake filling.
- To make the crumble topping, put the flour, sugar, and cinnamon (if using) in a medium-sized bowl.
- Work the cold, cubed butter into the dry ingredients with your fingertips or a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Over the cheesecake filling, evenly distribute the crumble topping.
- Bake the cheesecake for approximately an hour in a preheated oven, or until the center is just set but still has some give.
- After turning off the oven, leave the door slightly open for around an hour while the cheesecake cools within.
- After taking it out of the oven, place it in the refrigerator for at least four hours or overnight.
Serve: Before serving, carefully take off the springform pan’s sides.
