Components:
Slice two large onions into 1/2-inch thick rings.
Eight ounces of striped mozzarella cheese.
One cup of ordinary flour
Two whisked eggs
One cup of bread crumbs
One teaspoon of garlic powder
One little pinch of paprika
Adjust the amount of salt and pepper to your taste.
Cooking spray
Getting ready:
Set the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and place parchment paper on a baking pan.
Slice the onion into rings and set aside. After inserting a mozzarella stick within one onion ring, surround it with another ring. Continue doing this until all of the onion rings have cheese inside of them.
Three bowls should be set up at the breading station: one for the flour, one for the eggs, and one for the breadcrumbs that have been combined with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Make sure all of the mozzarella-filled onion rings are fully covered with flour. After that, coat it with the breadcrumb mixture after dipping it in the whisked eggs.
Cover the onion rings with batter and place them on the prepared baking pan. To make them crispy in the oven, lightly mist them with cooking spray.
Cook in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the outside is golden brown and crispy.
Before eating, let the onion rings to cool somewhat. Savor them hot with your preferred sauce!
Various Kinds and Guidance
Use panko breadcrumbs to give it a crunchy texture and a new taste. Additionally, you can sample several cheeses, such as pepper jack or provolone, which would be delicious choices.
If you are preparing food for a highly picky group of people, you can give a variety of sauces for the onion rings or omit the spices so that everyone can chose their favorite. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs and flour to make it gluten-free.
