Decadent Layered Chocolate Cheesecake with Oreo Crust
Components:
Regarding the Crust:
Two cups of cookie crumbs from Oreos
Half a cup of melted unsalted butter
Regarding the Layers of Cheesecake:
16 ounces of softened cream cheese
One cup of powdered sugar
One teaspoon of vanilla cream
One cup of whipped heavy cream
Eight ounces of melted, slightly chilled bittersweet chocolate
Regarding the chocolate garnish:
Four ounces of bittersweet chocolate.
Half a cup of heavy cream
Directions:
Get the Oreo Crust ready:
Combine the melted butter and Oreo cookie crumbs in a bowl and stir until thoroughly blended.
To make a uniform crust, press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. To set, place in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Prepare the Layers of Cheesecake:
Beat the vanilla extract, cream cheese, and powdered sugar in a big bowl until smooth and creamy.
Add the whipped cream and fold gently until well combined.
Split the mixture in two parts. To make the chocolate cheesecake layer, combine melted chocolate with one half.
Put the cheesecake together:
Over the cold crust, evenly distribute the simple cheesecake mixture.
Using a spatula to level the surface, gently put the chocolate cheesecake mixture on top.
For optimal results, cover the pan with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least six hours or overnight.
Get the chocolate topping ready.
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just simmers. Take off the heat and pour in the chocolate. Mix until it’s smooth.
Spread the ganache evenly over the cooled cheesecake after letting it cool a little.
Before serving, chill:
To ensure the topping is firm, chill the cheesecake for an additional one to two hours.
The cheesecake should be carefully taken out of the springform pan. Cut into slices and serve.
Advice:
For an added touch, garnish with fresh berries, chocolate curls, or whipped cream.
For the most flavorful bittersweet chocolate, use premium chocolate.
