Easy Classic Pecan Pie
This Easy Pecan Pie is a timeless dessert that delivers a perfect balance of sweetness, crunch, and buttery richness. With only a few basic ingredients and a frozen deep-dish pie crust, you can create a warm, gooey, caramel-like filling topped with toasted pecans. It’s ideal for holidays, family gatherings, or anytime you crave a comforting homemade dessert.
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark; dark gives deeper flavor)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 deep-dish frozen pie crust, unbaked
One 6.5-oz package pecan halves or pieces
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This temperature ensures the filling sets gently while the crust becomes golden and flaky.
2. Prepare the Filling
In a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs together until the mixture looks smooth and slightly pale. Add the melted butter, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk again until everything is fully combined. The mixture will be thick and glossy—this is exactly what you want for a classic pecan pie texture.
3. Add the Pecans
Stir in the pecan halves or pieces, making sure they are distributed evenly throughout the filling. Pecans float to the top while baking, forming a naturally beautiful layer.
4. Fill the Pie Crust
Place your frozen deep-dish pie crust on a baking sheet. This step helps prevent spills when transferring the pie in and out of the oven. Pour the pecan mixture into the crust, spreading it out evenly.
5. Bake the Pie
Bake the pie for 55–60 minutes. The pie is done when the filling is mostly set but still slightly wobbly in the center. If the crust edges brown too fast, cover them loosely with foil during baking.
6. Cool Before Serving
Let the pie cool completely for at least 2 hours. Cooling allows the filling to firm up so it slices cleanly.
This easy pecan pie is sweet, crunchy, buttery, and guaranteed to become a favorite on your dessert table.
