Easy Fried Cheese Bites

Easy Fried Cheese Bites

Components:

  1. Cut 8 ounces (225 grams) of cheese into cubes or sticks, such as mozzarella, cheddar, or any other type you like.
  2. Half a cup of all-purpose flour
  3. Half a cup of breadcrumbs, ideally panko for added crunch
  4. 1/4 cup of optionally grated Parmesan cheese for flavor
  5. One egg
  6. Half a teaspoon of optional garlic powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoon optional paprika
  8. To taste, add salt and pepper.
  9. Using vegetable oil to fry

Directions:

Get the cheese ready:

  • Slice the cheese into sticks or bite-sized cubes. This is a terrific use for mozzarella string cheese!

Create a station for breading:

  • Put the flour in a basin.
  • Whisk together the egg in a separate dish.
  • Combine the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and grated parmesan (if using) in a third bowl.

Cover the cheese:

  • Make careful to lightly coat each cheese cube or stick by dipping it into the flour.
  • After that, dip it into the egg and allow any extra to drip off.
  • Lastly, lightly press the breadcrumb mixture onto it to make sure the breadcrumbs adhere.

Make the cheese bites crispy:

  • In a skillet or frying pan, heat 1 to 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat (approximately 350°F/175°C).
  • Working in batches if needed, carefully drop the breaded cheese bits into the heated oil.
  • Fry for one to two minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
  • To drain excess oil, lay the cheese pieces on a plate lined with paper towels after removing them from the oil using tongs or a slotted spoon.

Serve:

  • When the fried cheese nibbles are warm and mushy on the inside, serve them right away. You can serve them with your preferred dipping sauce or marinara sauce.
