Eggless and Yeast-Free Fried Breadsticks with Chocolate Sauce
Dough Ingredients:
- 300 grams all-purpose wheat flour
- 8 grams baking powder
- 3 grams baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 200 ml cold milk
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1/4 teaspoon pandan paste (for color and flavor)
Chocolate Sauce:
- 150 ml milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 75 grams dark chocolate
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add cold milk, cooking oil, and pandan paste to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead it gently until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes.
Shape the Breadsticks:
- After resting, divide the dough into small portions. Roll each portion into a thin strip or rope shape, about 6-8 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
Frying:
- Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, gently place the breadsticks in the oil and fry until they turn golden brown and puffy. Fry in batches if necessary.
- Remove the fried breadsticks and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
Chocolate Sauce:
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a saucepan, heat milk over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. Add this mixture to the warm milk.
- Stir continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Add dark chocolate to the thickened mixture. Stir until the chocolate melts completely and the sauce is smooth.
- Serve the fried breadsticks with the warm chocolate sauce for dipping.
- Enjoy your delightful eggless and yeast-free fried breadsticks with rich chocolate sauce!
